On Thursday 4th November 2016 we were honoured to present Best Chef at the prestigious Devon Life Food and Drink Awards. There was tough competition for the winner Ian Webber of the Five Bells Inn as he was up against Michelin Starred Mark Dodson of The Masons Arms and 2 Michelin Starred Michael Wignall of Gidleigh Park.


We were delighted to present Ian with his award even though he seemed rather stunned to have won.

There were so many other talented and passionate people at the event and it made us feel very lucky to be living and working in such a creative County.

I have a feeling we will be there again next year, but it would be nice to be considered for an award of our own next time. Here’s hoping!
